Encaustic Wax & Mixed Media Art Workshop in the “heart” of Mexico!
A 3-day intensive workshop with the option of a 4th open studio day!

Focus of this workshop:
Gather imagery of textures, patterns, shapes & colors in the lovely, historic city of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and learn a little history along the way. We will do a “discovery walk” at the beginning of class.
Learn the basics of working with encaustic wax and mixed media materials
Create small art “tacTILE panels” that express the diverse “surfaces” of San Miguel de Allende & Mexico. Option to assemble into larger works
Leave with a “sense of place” and beautiful imagery to develop for further projects
This is a “process-oriented” workshop; it’s not imperative to “finish” an art piece.
